I will try help, hope it worth something (sorry it is so complicated, hope next versions would be easier) :
We are talking on pc wallet, android not updated yet, iPhone app never existed..
Sometimes you need to start building all the blocks from the beginning on the new wallet.
Do not use zero transaction fee on the new wallet, sometimes it dose not approve in the chain and then you need to build all blocks from the start..
First you need to download the correct version to your pc (64,32 bit):

Backup your wallet (wallet.dat) before use the new aurumcoin-qt  !!!! this contain your private keys of your good old wallet

By upgrade (0.8.6 -> 0.12.2) use a NEW folder to install. COPY! the wallet.dat, aurumcoin-qt.exe and
the coin.conf into the folder. Rename the coin.conf to aurumcoin.conf and/or adjust the .conf file.


By update (0.12.2 -> 0.12.4) use a NEW folder to install. COPY! the wallet.dat, aurumcoin-qt.exe and
the coin.conf into the folder. Rename the coin.conf to aurumcoin.conf and/or adjust the .conf file.
and...

open your registry (regedit.exe). Search for "Bitcoin-Qt". Delete the string "strDataDir".
(HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Bitcoin/Bitcoin-Qt/strDataDir)

Explanation:
By using Bitcoin and Aurumcoin(AU) wallet parallel the Bitcoin Wallet dont find the Bitcoin folder.

Now start the Aurumcoin-Qt.exe and point it to the new folder.

The new string "strDataDir" you find now in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Bitcoin/Aurumcoin-Qt/strDataDir

The Core12 works with seedNODES so you dont need the aurumcoin.conf file to get connection to the chain.

If you want to use the aurumcoin.conf file please adjust the file to your needs and copy the file in
the Aurumcoin(AU) main folder you find the blockchain in.

You can use your old .conf file if you rename it to aurumcoin.conf

The easyest way to start the Aurumcoin(AU) QT is:
copy all needed fils (aurumcoin-qt.exe, aurumcoin.conf) in one folder. -> c:\Aurumcoin
create a shortcut to aurumcoin-qt.exe in this folder and edit the properties -> shortcut
past in Target:  C:\Aurumcoin\aurumcoin-qt.exe -datadir=C:\Aurumcoin -conf=C:\Aurumcoin\aurumcoin.conf

now start the shortcut.
With this trick you can work with more folder and wallets.
