What is it exactly that you are smoking? Because I want some  Grin

Neither eBay nor MasterCard hold any funds in customer accounts, so mentioning either of these names are 100% irrelevant. If you have over $1,700 in your PayPal account then you should take the couple of days it takes to send it to your bank account to send it to your bank account and then buy with either a Cash Deposit or another method using cash. Doing so will save you a lot of money......unless of course there is a reason why you don't want to send to your own bank account Roll Eyes

If you knew what you were talking about I wouldn't be bothered by this post. But you must not use PayPal that much so I'll give you a pass

But there's a little thing when sending funds on PayPal that lets you switch funding sources.. It's an option in the middle of the send payment page, you can send funds from your bank, or your PayPal balance, or **gasp**Various credit cards one has saved on their account. Wow what a shocker isn't it?

So you want to take a cash advance on your credit card in order to send via PayPal? If so then you might as well take a cash advance to your bank account and buy with cash. If you aren't taking a cash advance with PayPal then you might as well because PayPal charges the same 2.9% (credit cards typically cost 3%) that you would pay and buy with cash. Even if PayPal would let you pay with friends and family and wouldn't force you to take a cash advance and would let you send via friends and family, you are going to end up paying higher rates then if you took a cash advance because of the high PayPal risk of a chargeback coupled with your lack of reputation.

I'm not taking a cash advance because the specific credit card charges a high fee plus a % of amnt advanced.

I'm simply using my available credit balance on my eBay MasterCard which has low interest and accrues me points with every purchase

How hard is this to understand?

I've been buying on localbtc this way without issue and it works.. No need to complicate things
