Hi, I'm new to bitcoin and I'm a little confuse about the activity and waiting time? Is there a limit on how many can you post per day?

I think there is no limit of daily posts as long as they are not unsustainable posts or spam
And the activity is counted every 14 days

The limit of posts per day is amount of time you have and constructive posts you do.   There is a limit but it's different for everyone.   But no the forum will not stop you after X in a day posts.

The ranks are based on activity which is different then just posts as link above will explain.   Also longer you are here lower waiting time till it goes away eventually.

Just 1. And you just used it up.  Cheesy

Just kidding. as mentioned I think there is only a limit on how fast a new account can post. Just to make sure you are not a spam computer program.

You can make, at most 240 posts per day. This assumes that you are able to make one post exactly every 360 seconds throughout the day and that each post is carefully crafted enough so that you do not catch the unwanted attention of the moderators.

As you become a more established user, the time you must wait between posts will decline, however I would estimate that on average, you should spend no less then 3.5 minutes reading a thread and crafting a reply to such thread. This would put the maximum number of posts per day at approximately 411.

Both of these numbers would assume that you spend exactly 24 hours posting and taking no breaks for meals, sleeping, using the restroom, or anything else. Why you would want to do this is another question and would be off topic in this thread however.....

Wait how is it 240 first and then after spending 3.5 minutes it´s 411? There is a math error there. Anyways i know someone used to post around 150-200 posts a week, meaning that he was posting around 25 posts per day which is actually pretty hard to do but he never got banned.

There is no math error.

There are 60 minutes in a hour and 24 hours in a day. 24 * 60 = 1,440 minutes in a day.

The OP is a newbie with less then 16 activity (and will have less then 16 activity until the next activity period). Therefore the most he can post is once every 360 seconds, or once every 6 minutes.

1,440 / 6 = 240

If you were to assume that someone spends 3.5 minutes on each post then 1,440 / 3.5 = ~411.4285 so they would be working on their 412th post as the day ended.

If there is some flaw in my calculations then please kindly point it out to me.

Kind Regards

I don't think there's a calculation error, but it seems a little arbitrary to suggest that the person spend 210 seconds (3.5 minutes) on each post when the systme is going to require that they wait at least 360 seconds.  You're right that you can divide the day into approx 411 segments of 210 seconds each, but what stands out to me as weird is recommening that the person spend less time per post than they're actually allowed to spend.

I've adjusted the limits to make spamming more difficult.

Activity   Min. seconds between post actions   Max PM recipients   PMs per hour
036035
1674530

When you do not spend enough time on crafting your reply, and more importantly, carefully reading the thread you are replying to, there is a greater chance that you will miss the details of what is being said causing you to make statements that do not make sense.

Often times this results in users creating a brand new account, and creating a thread in meta questioning the reason why they were banned, and posting a screenshot of their account showing that they were banned for "insubstantial posts + paid signature" often with either 14, 30 or 60 days next to this message indicating the length of their ban.

Based on some of the replies in this thread, I would not be surprised if some participants of this very thread were to take this very action.

Newbies with less than 14 activity have 360seconds cooldown before you can post, send message, search and etc

That limit will decrease as your rank/activity gets higher

The thing is that, those 411 are for normal people or newbies? Because as you said newbies could only post a maximum of 240 posts a day, that´s why i was confused because you then said someone could post 411 posts which is more than the maximum that you just calculated

411 for normal people fairly established users (not exactly a limit). 240 for newbies (forum limit).

it's actually pretty clear if you read this carefully.
