and why they are little groub (largest number i saw was 1000 node only) ?
they do the confirmatons right ?
and how they know that the transaction is ok or not ?

Bitcoin nodes are those users who run the full client (or the Qt wallet) in their machines and have the full copy of the block chain.

As to how the confirmation works, nodes collect the addresses to check the validity of the signature. Take it like this, if a signature can be decrypted with the address in the transaction, then the owner of the address with the private key signed it, therefore making the transaction valid. After that, the node will broadcast the transaction in the network--nodes pass the transaction to each other until the message is relayed in the whole network. (correct me if I'm wrong, this is how I understand how the confirmation process works)

To become a full node, you must run the Qt client and have the full copy of the block chain since the genesis block on your machine.

you need to allow inbound connections to become a full node open the 8333 port with the config file, or do it via firewall

also there are few node, because there are no incentive to running one, while there are some risk

I wanted to run a full node so I used this marvelous brand new invention called "Google"  and typed "Bitcoin full node" into it.

The very first result in the search was this page:

I read it and in about 15 minutes I was running a full node on my laptop.

It does use up some bandwidth.

Currently I have:  33 connections to my node, 25 inbound and 8 outbound

In the last 24 hours it has received 2 GB and it has sent out about 15 GB, which is about normally what it does in a 24 hour period.

Yes, I wish I was getting paid to run it - but I am not.  Just doing it for fun at this point.
