you can't, tor browser always will be slower because the packets need to travel to several proxies around the world, and it will take time

You can try changing exit nodes if its that bad. Keep in mind torbrowser will never be fast.

the speed of the tor browser will be limited by the speed of the nodes

there is nothing you can do about it

You can't change the speed of tor.

I would just change the ip if it's too slow.

The TOR network itself is very slow.

I have only 2-3 mbps and a shitty laptop but I'm contended with the speed of tor. It's really slow , just get used to it. But if you're really annoyed with the slow connection on TOR, just use a normal browser then Grin

Agreed... TOR requires data to go from here to somewhere (many times) then back... so le duh it will be slow

OP, tor is slow for a raisin. It shouldn't be used by those concerned with achieving 'fast speeds' or torrenting

Hey man , afaik Tails is an OS. How does it become similar TOR? Or you mean use TOR with Tails? I heard that some uses Tails+TOR to add extra layer of anonimity., not to speed up it's connection.

I added these lines at the end of my torrc file.  On Macs this is found at ..Library/Application Support/TorBrowser/Tor

Since I am based in the US, it specifies 10 really fast entry and exit servers, and requires that the middle relay server be based in the US as well. (US is the only country not excluded)

It has sped up Tor 4x or more for me, much more usable now.  Maybe a bit less anonymous, as the signal is just bouncing around the country not the entire world... but should be anonymous enough.

You can alter the middle relay country based on your location, and use https://atlas.torproject.org/ and the ping command in terminal to find entry/exit servers that are fast for you.
