I frequently use Kraken and Bitstamp to trade. Bitstamp has more trading volume than Kraken though

For actual currency exchange, the exchanges I've used in the past are now closed - British banks don't like Bitcoin. These days I use Localbitcoins to buy BTC, and I trade on Bitfinex and Coinut (and I'm looking forward to Quedex opening for real trading).

You should try Poloniex. Really simple to use. They included a lot of cryptocurrencies and have instant withdrawal too.

In buying and selling bitcoins, I use coins.ph (a local exchange service) and of course, LocalBitcoins. I like how coins.ph reply to their customers who are experiencing some issues on their orders even if it's late at night. In LBC, there are a vast range of sellers near my area so whenever I'm not in a hurry to convert some coins and looking for a good trade, I use lbc. For crypto-related exchanges, I mainly used Bittrex and Polo. Both have good volumes on them, though I prefer Bittrex more than Polo because of the design of the site--easy to use and to be familiar with.

It's simple and easy to use their exchange in Poloniex, i use them recently

What i like there is the Dark mode, have you noticed it? It is perfect at the night.

To withdraw you have to confirm in email, first time i didn't know and got stucked for hours until i found somebody told me in trollbox (chat)

I haven't been in coinbase because of its verification procedures and lots of fees (1% + their bank fee)

Coinbase still doesn't work with all the european countries. Besides this, bitstamp sharges way less fees.

So could blockchain.info (or any other online wallet), though.

With any online "storage" (wallet, exchange, whatever) you're always at risk because you don't control "your" coins. If you're interested in trading, you'll need to keep some money on an exchange to do so, but I'd caution against piling all your BTC into one exchange - and the same applies with blockchain.info or any other online wallet.

I use Poloniex too, it has very reasonable fees.
Even if you try to withdraw it does not take extra fees like other exchanges.
And what i see very useful is the dark mode of the website Smiley
