How tragic is that. Yes, the photo is disgustingly real.

At least 12 migrants believed to be Syrians drowned as two boats sank after leaving southwest Turkey for the Greek island of Kos.

It said a boat carrying 16 Syrian migrants had sunk after leaving the Akyarlar area of the Bodrum peninsula, and seven people had died. Nine people were rescued and the coastguard was continuing its search for two people still missing.
Separately, a boat carrying six Syrians sank after leaving Akyarlar on the same route. Three children and one woman drowned and two people survived after reaching the shore in life jackets.
Tens of thousands of Syrians fleeing the conflict in their homeland have descended on Turkey's Aegean coast this summer to board boats to Greece, their gateway to the European Union.
Aid agencies estimate that, over the past month, about 2,000 people a day have been making the short crossing to Greece's eastern islands on rubber dinghies.

good, 12 less mouths for european taxpayers to feed, had it up to my neck with hearing about how i should feel guilty for the problems in other parts of the world, there are 50 islamic countries these muslims could go to but there's not a single refugee in saudi arabia

if the choice must be that they drown or come to europe and steal my land and resources i prefer them to drown

Be radical, have principles, be absolute, be that which the bourgeoisie calls an extremist: give yourself without counting or calculating, don't accept what they call ‘the reality of life' and act in such a way that you won't be accepted by that kind of ‘life', never abandon the principle of struggle.

It is just the beginning...

Czech police haul migrants off trains to Germany and 'write numbers on their arms in ink'

Czech police have reportedly begun removing refugees from trains headed to Germany, detaining migrants and numbering them in pen written on their arms.

The Czech prime minister has called a meeting with his counterparts in Austria and Slovakia to discuss the growing influx of migrants in eastern and central Europe.

According to local media, in the early hours of Tuesday morning around 200 refugees were arrested on trains arriving from Austria and Hungary in the southern Czech region of Moravia.

Pictures in Czech media showed police officers writing registration numbers on the wrists and arms of migrants with permanent marker pens, while the refugees themselves told reporters they were travelling from Budapest, had purchased valid train tickets and were allowed to board by police in Hungary.

It´s very sad that many people running from poverty end up in far worse situation, even as bad as dead. It´s nice to have been born in the first world Cheesy We should always remember this, even those of us who're not technically from the first world. If you have food on the table and acces to the net you're in far better situation than many and more people all around the world  Sad

Should massive forced illegal immigration be a priority, above the poor already in those "every countries"?

But... The humans coming in by waves are more important than the humans already in every country? I guess I understand your position. As long as someone else is doing the cleaning and the helping...

Report: 51% Of Immigrant Households In America Are On Welfare…

A comprehensive study of U.S. Census Bureau reports of welfare participation revealed Wednesday that 51 percent of immigrants — legal and illegal — access welfare programs, far more than the 30 percent of native-born Americans.

The Center for Immigration Studies analysis of the Census Survey of Income and Program Participation found “significantly higher rates” of immigrants on government programs than other government surveys, showing that Washington has done little to curb access to Medicaid, cash, food, and housing programs.

“If immigration is supposed to benefit the country, then immigrant welfare use should be much lower than native use,” said Steven Camarota the Center’s director of research and the report’s author.

The poor and those in need in "every country" will have to wait, back in line... Is this fair? Maybe you believe it is.

Tragic. These people are being forced to flee their homes in Syria, because some powerful nations (Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar) have decided that Bashar al Assad should be ousted from power. And remember that none of these countries (with the exception of Turkey) are ready to accept even a single Syrian refugee.

You shouldn't confuse the discussion with links about immigration in general. These are refugees, fleeing from their own countries in fear of death. I'm not saying there won't be a few economic immigrants trying their luck, but the majority are refugees. The desperation they show is evidence of the fact.
