Gabirel Weinberg have investigated Google's result personalization and has discovered that "magic keywords" (confirmed by the Wall Street Journal in their own study), Google has been significantly altering its search results to highlight Obama-related results, but not Romney-related results.
Magic keywords works by basing results based on previously searched terms. For example, if you search for "Obama" and then search for "Taxes", your actual search query becomes "obama taxes". This is only visible to the end user rather subtlety, and impacts the search results with pro-Obama content (due to the automatically injected magic keyword). This behavior does not apply to Romney.
Conspiracy? Romney missing the magical algorithm inclusion point? Google's political beliefs?

Google knows your likes, so if you are constantly Googling bondage gear, furries, and sexy nurses, when you go to search for costumes you might not get results for kid's costumes.

I think the point was that if you searched "Romney" and then "Taxes", you would get identical results to just searching "Taxes," while if you searched "Obama" and then "Taxes" you would get identical results to "Obama Taxes" But yeah, I see your point.

Nope. Obama, having been president of the United States of America for almost four years, just has higher ranking content on the internet than Romney. If you do other searches after searching for Romney, you'll still see Romney stuff, as expected, just not as much or as high on the list.

People that are content (not obsessed) with Obama's rule... why would they search for Obama? Methinks most Obama searches are because of displeasure and dirt-digging. The same goes for Romney. Why would you search? Be the search result, not the searcher.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

Be the result you wish to Google? (somebody hook a generator up to Gandhi, he's probably twirling at a pretty good clip by now)
