Hello peeps!

I have 19x S5 units currently mining with "almost free" electricity and i tought "everyone deserves a day of almost free mining"!

So i tought i'll open up a lotto for peeps to have at least 1 day of ~21.8 TH/s won with a little investment.

To enter the lotto, you simply send 0.01 BTC to 131pgA7KdtEqeTvD32xxdTgPrT7yrLQRxr and post a message here with the TXID (if two people claim the same TXID i'll require a signed message, so be sure to use an address you control). If you want more "tickets" you can send them in one transaction, multiplying by the number of tickets you want (don't send fractional amounts, i'll round down them).

When we hit 11pm on my time zone (-4:30 UTC) this friday, i'll create a list with the usernames of the entries and randomize them with random.org; the first entry on the list will be the winner.

The winner will be announced here and i'll be contacting them via PM to get the connection details. Once i get the details and setup all the miners i'll be starting the countdown timer.

All this process will be manual, if this catches on and becomes popular i'll be automating it.

Some figures:

  • Amount of miners: 19
  • Hashrate of each miner: ~1.155 TH/s
  • Total aprox. Hashrate: 21.8 TH/s (Actual figure, result of the setup i have)
  • Aprox. earnings from a 24 hours period at current difficulty: 0.19 BTC (19x the cost of the ticket)

The aprox. earnings takes into account internet slow-downs and rejects. There can be power failures and i'll be not held liable of those. I will compensate the power failures by granting additional time depending on the length of the aforementioned failure. I shall not be held liable of pool downtime or any other failure not related to power failures or internet connection dropping out.

If there are not enough participants, i'll make arrangements to return the proceedings.

This is my current hashrate on Slush's pool:

Just a suggestion but you really should have a 3rd party do this part.  I would go with someone highly trusted on escrowing.

And I mean no offense it's just to be person running it, and deciding winner I think should be split between people.

Also what happens if less the 19 tickets sell?  Will you be taking the remaining?

Yeah... probably as a test that's overkill.... i'm just trying to know if this is something people would be interested on...

Nope... I'm doing this the most fair and transparent possible. The minimum ticket quota is 19, as that's what i usually do on a day. So, if 19 tickets are bought, the lotto gets activated and a winner is picked. No sense on taking it to myself, as i'm already taking my usual 0.19 BTC a day.
