We could try to push bitcoin with the current elections coming up. The only problem I see in doing that is what has happened to current touchy subjects like "right to die" and "legalization of pot"! The current parties do not want to make a off step and lose votes. Could see a old person getting their back out of sorts thinking "these young kids are trying to screw up my pension" or something like that. Watching how many still go to the bank to deposit a cheque is funny as hell.
Maybe on a more grass roots level like municipal level we could push bitcoin or bitcoin supporting people.
As it is right now Mulcair is just another Harper and will stay away from anything like this, maybe Trudeau. If Trudeau can support legalization of pot,he may got on board a technology based currency. Could revolutionize the way Canada operates. The Queen is going to die and we will have to replace all our currency again and that is going to cost a lot. So maybe that will be the time to push for it.
