Off the coast of Madeira beach, Florida. Coined the name "Bitcoin City"

What are your thoughts on this, I have a guy who can craft this statue within 3 months, I want to make the BTC symbol and put it next to a artificial reef my dive master has been working on for many many years known as the "Jenga pile" ... it's a required dive spot for those working to get their NAUI Open water Certification! I think this would make a nice headline for the BTC Community!

Please share your thoughts and opinions!

Please post your BTC address for a chance to win in a generous RNG donation! (Minimum 10 addresses to make this worthwhile) and post something worth reading!

Enjoy the long weekend, if you have any other ideas for promoting Bitcoin, please feel free to share and or private message me so we can get to work! I have approximately 15 hours per week I can devote to Bitcoin outside of my daily / buying / selling / loaning / trading!

Although wierd, I guess it could work... Smiley Although it would only probably appeal to a minority, the divers on the beach... How are you certain it would reach headlines having this reef?

As for the giveaway, best to post it in the Games and rounds forum, maybe?

I say go for it. It seems very interesting and the press will byte and make headlines out of it, if you decide to do it. We need any little help out there to get into the news, we need positive news about Bitcoin in the press.

You could also let know the community here if you would need some help with your initiative and how us, the community would be able to help. We are here for this.

Cheers!

This would be awesome and might attract many people worldwide and bring some attention to bitcoin but im not sure it would work because of cost of flights etc the reward would have to be big enough to attract people worldwide im sure locally it would be a hit

That sounds like a very cool idea and would get the word out in a positive way.
Always felt like some form of scavenger hunting would attract people to btc and this would for sure draw interest from media and those that dive.

"Make the BTC symbol and put it next to a artificial reef" is better idea than a Banner. Keep going on this idea and all the best.

Well I have no idea how much this project would be demanded by locals but sure go with it why not.

But also make it easy to monetize on it, so that you can return the money back into bitcoin with interest.

Just collecting bitcoins, and then shoveling it into fiat will only hurt bitcoin, so you should instead make it monetizable and then slowly pump back the money into bitcoin again!

Very good idea. Rarely bitcoin are thought in an artistic way. Always it is thought as a currency and a tool to buy and sell or trade and invest. It would be problem to find the money to realize this but if you have wrote securely have thought about this particularity. I see that no one of the people who have post have put their btc address for a chance to win in a generous RNG donation. I don't know what is a RNG but must be a good thing and I am putting my bitcoin address in the hope to win something. Thanks!

Maybe you could put a QR code underwater for the divers to send donations too.
I'm not sure how well the phone would work underwater though.
