I wouldn't call is a bad move just yet. With the new stress test and still active debate on client versions, bitcoin is far from regaining higher support levels. I'm pretty confident that we will have another slide under 200$, otherwise how would people hype the price later on for halving

Ok It's official. If I buy bitcoin price goes down.. This morning I sold one to help pay for a weekend trip...Price is up 5$ LOL i had experienced this a lot at the very beginning. but throughout the months/years you'll see why it goes down when you buy and why it goes up when you sell.

Better luck next time. It's not like you can predict what is going to happen so these things are sometimes based on timing and luck. Same goes when it comes to trading

yeah pretty strange. when we hold and do not sell, sometimes bitcoin prices further down and no price increases, but the rise in prices that always come when we've sold bitcoin I'm inclined to attribute it to confirmation bias! More helpfully, since the OP was exchanging - rather than trading - and the need for the exchange was known in advance then the transaction could have been "hedged" - the OP could have used options to insure against a rise (and/or a fall) in price. (As far as I know, right now this is only possible with BTC/USD, which may not be useful to the OP). There's a poster on Bitcointalk who sells options OTC ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=223626.0) and one exchange ( http://www.coinut.com) with another opening this month ( http://www.quedex.com). The latter exchange looks like it's going to offer USD and CNY in addition to BTC/USD.

This is because an efficient market always moves to minimize profits. In this way, it can be understood as a crowd-sourced, adversarial intelligence. Thus, in fact, even beyond confirmation bias, it is theoretically more likely than a coin-flip for the market to punish informed, strategic speculative actions, especially on the short term.

lol, as long as the "go down" and "rise ups" that happen because of your luck are in range of $5 i think we are safe.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Ok It's official. If I buy bitcoin price goes down.. This morning I sold one to help pay for a weekend trip...Price is up 5$ LOL No one can really predict what it is in the future and these 100% price predictors are not always correct because of it always changes and it depends on the market, so we cant really say this price predictor is 100% reliable.
