Hello, It’s been awhile since our last posting.
We have reached an agreement with Sfards Technology to be its North America ASIC chip sales representative. We will sell Sfards Technology’s latest 28nm FDSOI ASIC SF3301 (dual mining) chip samples in www.dualminer.com web store in the coming August. The sample package contains 40 production version of SF3301 chips. To help people speed up their own designs, Sfards will release two open source designs, 1) a single-chip USB dualminer, and 2)a single-chip reference design into Github in near future. The SF3301 has unique features compared to the other 28nm chips built with bulk CMOS processes in the areas of 1) The chip can be operated at a wide range of core voltages (Its low bound could be lower than that of bulk CMOS), 2) Using the forward body bias (FBB) technology, 3) FDSOI native low leakage characteristic. People could take advantage of these variables to design their own unique mining hardware solutions.
Pricing; 40 chip package @ $1,199 (or $29.98/chip) + shipping&handling
For people interested in purchasing this sample package, please contact us.

We will sell Sfards Technology’s latest 28nm FDSOI ASIC SF3301 (dual mining) chip samples in www.dualminer.com web store in the coming August.

Then may be mining equipment ready to operation will be ready for sales in October-November and probably will be overpriced as those 40 chips for 1000+ USD. Again too late, again too expensive.

But I'm sure some Chinese farms will be already equipped (maybe alreade equipped) with SFARDS' miners. Again home miners stays without next gen quiet fast cold (so as dualmode) miner...

The $29.98/chip price is set for small-quantity sampling purposes. Customers will get volume discount when doing bulk purchases.

SF3301 ASIC is still preparing for mass production, so it's still in the early ramping up stage. Again, the SF3301 is the most efficient dual-algorithm 28nm ASIC in the world. I expect this chip could have long and good life cycle ahead.

I really wish you could get it cheaper.   I would love to have one off these.  1.7 T worth of sha gear should be a decent amount cheaper.

I'm hoping they change their mind on price.   The dual capability gives it a neat edge.   But I guess time will tell.  Most miners would love these, just need to be right price.

100% Agree, but they managed back in the Days to sell overpriced Gridseed Miner and they will try the same with this one.

It'll be interesting to see if the dynamics that existed back in the "Gridseed Days" in terms of hash rate, LTC/BTC pricing and such will allow them the premium they want to get. The $30/chip pricing will be difficult to make a a miner that is competitively priced I'll bet, certainly give the existing BTC gear out today.

29$ is too much for the hashrate and spec of the chip. Any way we could get some sample to test and maybe see bulk purchase ?

It's gonna need to be in someone's hands actually mining before I think anyone is gonna plunk down for either chips or rigs.
