Bitcoin ownership & use is supposed to be anonymous & discrete. I'd rather not sign up to a site that has my real name, email address etc. I'd advise people not to use this site.

It's not like Fight Club.  You can tell people you use Bitcoin without giving them the details of your transactions.

The website wants all your details so they can sell them to marketing-companies.
A lot of companies are willing to pay a lot of money for emails if they know the owner of the email is active in cryptocurrencies.

Do not make such negative prediction. At least op is trying to do something to improve the crypto's ecosystem.

I think it's great, and I'm enjoying it already.  I never saw the point of Twitter, but this is exactly what I need to stay up-to-date on important things.

Do you know how many times I missed an update, a giveaway, or a contest because I didn't happen to notice the topic on Bitcointalk?

Do you know how many hundred-page topics I've scrolled through, trying to find out which pools were still active?

uCrypto is the perfect solution for instant updates and announcements.

Then you'll be happy to know that I give my 100% guarantee that I will never share any user email address for any reason.

Of course, I'm not involved with the site at all other than the fact that I just heard about it in this topic and joined.  But I still guarantee that I won't share users' emails.

Reason I created a site like this is because I was banned for 31 days from Facebook because of a picture of Bitcoin, and it was flagged as terrorism. Facebook Staff are like Nazi's, sorry, but it's true. My other friend was also banned for sharing a few blockchain links.

As for the information, we do not sell that. Plain and simple, I have been doing website hosting for quite a while now, and I do not sell information. I am working on a SSL within the next 24-48 hours.

I am glad that those who have joined have liked it, and we are slowly growing right now.

Thanks!

P.s. You will receive an email every time you get sent a direct message, and one at the end of the day with items you missed (Didn't see) but these can be disabled by going to your account settings.

And I will also add that you are not required to put in every little piece of detail, you can if you want to. The only requirement is First/Last Name, and your email for the verification email, but no one can see that email address that is not an administrator of the network.

Who are the people behind the website?
Would like to know who those people are.

How do you get your revenue?
What is in it for the users to sign up at your site?

What guarantees can you give the users?

Who are the people behind the website? - I am the only one, I am the sole-owner.
Would like to know who those people are.

How do you get your revenue? - I have some "silent" investors who have helped fund the start of the project, but since then they have all been paid back. If you knew me, you would know money is not a concern.
What is in it for the users to sign up at your site? - They get to use a free, online site where they do not have to worry about what they say.

What guarantees can you give the users? - I can guarantee a safe, and free online website. We ensure everyone's privacy and information, and that under any circumstance, will never be released, sold, or dumped into plain text. However, we must comply with the USA laws, as stated in my sites Rule located in the uCrypto.co Lounge (Under Wiki). Which means if you make a terroristic threat or post child pornography and such, we must give that to law enforcement otherwise if something happens, we can be charged as an accessory for knowing but not doing anything. Hopefully you can understand.

Your social network is a HumHub knock-off https://www.humhub.org,  If you want to look professional I would suggest you to hire developers and designers and start working on an actually original crypto social network and on a copy-paste framework like hum hub.

It's open source, used as it was intended.  How is that a "knock-off"?

Does the sole-owner have a name that can be double checked so we can investigate you and make sure you are not scammer?

If you so called comply to USA laws people are not allowed to say everything they want to say and all userdata is available to NSA. There goes your privacy.

I see a lot of red flags, not going to sign up.

Who is to say that a site is bad for using other's software? As long as the management is nice, the servers work, and people have a great time, who needs to complain? I personally know some of the dev's at HumHub and they are a great bunch of people, they work truly hard. Looks like the trolls are back at it to see what they can't nit-pick and downgrade.

I see a lot of red flags, not going to sign up.

1.) If you sign up you will see my name. Many people can verify who I am, and those people are a pretty big name in the crypto-community.

2.) Your reading too much into it. As said before, this was launched to help combat Facebook's magic ban hammer since they do not like cryptocurrency, this is not the silk road, this is not 4chan or 9gag, this is supposed to be a relaxed website.

You're "worried about privacy", so you want this guy's docs so you can "investigate" him?

The site doesn't require your real name, and you can use any burner email you want.  What's the problem?  Seriously, get a grip.  You're already more exposed by posting at bitcointalk, nothing you do at uCrypto will be any more open to the NSA than what you've just posted in this topic.

I thought the idea of those scripts was you added your own things to it.
If you're not bringing anything new to the market (or doing anything better), why exist?
