Hello,
Using Windows 7 64b
I was trying to download via Ubuntu to make a secure wallet key etc but was getting error.
so now I wonder if downloading it directly from windows is not smart but necessary.

Windows 7 is stable, stay with it. And after all, we have 8 months more to change for free to W10.

Windows 10 has been very stable once I was able to fix the lingering driver issues. Had forgotten to update the Audio drivers and had some crash issues when waking from sleep due to that. Once updated, everything is working fine now

You know, I will always repeat it, when I will be forced to change to Windows 10, I will go straight to linux. Why forcing me to update to something that is almost useless?

Useless? What are you talking about? Windows 10 is better than all the versions so far but it is not worth it because of privacy issues. Only users who have used Windows 7, Windows 8 (or 8.1) and Windows 10 on a single system (even for just a short time period) should be talking about this. The difference is quite noticeable depending on feature. However, I reverted back to Windows 8.1 the second the news came out about the privacy issues. I doubt that they could force somebody to update from 7 or 8.
People should learn how to properly use Linux (at least a distribution such as Ubuntu) just in case.
