Instead of paying someone to mix your coins before you send to the DN or receive from the DN , just use Xapo
Xapo mixes everyone's coins by putting them all together in one account .Its called a shared wallet so you never know how much a person has .

Wow you're smart, telling everyone how you and sell on the darkweb, there is no way that could ever come back to bite you in the ass. You shouldn't attack the man just for sharing his thoughts. @op xapo is a centralized service of sorts, and they have logs that could be later on requested by authority if case is to be made against you. On the other hand i'm pretty sure that mixers don't log anything, but can't say for certain. Your idea isn't bad, but it really depends on what you're doing with the coins in the end. If they want, they can track you through xapo.

Correct me if I am wrong: to get a btc address you have to reveal your identity to xapo,no? I consider this service as the worst, used it long time ago (when I just discovered bitcoin) before closing my account when I failed to withdraw to another address. CONCLUSION: xapo have your identity when you try buy, withdraw, etc.

See when i send money through Xapo if you check the blockchain btc account from what it was sent from its got like a million dollars in it, so i just thought it would work

Wow you're smart, telling everyone how you and sell on the darkweb, there is no way that could ever come back to bite you in the ass. I dont use it so im not worried I'm not sure why people can't understand that not controlling your private keys is incredibly dangerous. In my opinion, you're taking a much bigger risk putting your coins in a service like Xapo compared to the possibility of "getting caught" trading on a DNM.

If you use funds in a way that it makes some agency inquire about it, they could reach to xapo and get the detailed info on transactions you made, ip's you used while accessing your account and so on.. What i'm trying to say is that if you just want your transaction trace to be somewhat masked due to privacy, you should be fine, but if you are using xapo to do something illegal, you're bound to be tracked down imho.

The address from Electrum is directly linked to Xapo's payout address. FBI asks Xapo who the payout was made to. You need to create a total disconnection.

The address from Electrum is directly linked to Xapo's payout address. FBI asks Xapo who the payout was made to. You need to create a total disconnection. Exactly. It's plain and simple; you need a third party to mix it up (the greater volume they have - the better) and you need them not to keep any logs of making the service, thus rendering their service the last trace of your real addresses. People using mixers are not dumb to waste money on a service that could be replaced by something as simple as using online shared wallet.

not sure how to do that since you need a connection for the wallet to work...like lets say forget Xapo and i bought 100$ of btc from circle.com with my mastercard and sent to my electrum wallet....its still the same this but maybe even worse...becasue now it shows me sending to a mixer .. correct?

This sounds like a really bad idea. Xapo knows to whom each deposit belongs and can be asked / forced to give up that information.

You send it to a mixer, that's not illegal. Tracking the behaviour of the coins past this point will create false positives and cannot be used against you.

Xapo is a centralized wallet service (about which I have heard all the worst by the way) which means that they are probably keeping records of all transactions and identities that you need to reveal to them in order to get an account with them. So they can really do anything with all of this information. They might as well already passed it to the NSA, it's theirs. So no, your idea is not good at all. There are some ways to hide your trails much better than sending your BTCs to the online wallet providers and especially one as Xapo.

Not a good idea, Xapo has your real identity and logs of everything you did with your wallet. So using a mixing service is way better.

Xapo is good enough for someone that does not have anything to hide.
I would be stressed if I had to hide every movement or to maintain Bitcoins in my own means. Yes, it is safer, but would be a pain for me to do that.

Xapo seems good, but with all the bitcoin in one wallet, what is to stop someone from bot-netting vanitygen and getting the wallet key?
Or just corruption in the company.

I hope you realise brute forcing a private key takes multiple decillions (10³³) of years. As for the second point, yes, nothing stops them from running away with the coins. They control the private key.

It all depends on your reason for mixing. Someone who wants to hide from law enforcement with powers of subpeona has a much higher hurdle to reach in terms of anonymity than someone who simply wants to prevent noisy neighbors and the online community from seeing all their bitcoin activity because their public key has been published. For something like the latter Xapo or using altcoin exchanges like Poloniex and Bittrex could be a handy way to go.

They can ask you for ID if they see something suspicious I am quoting this from an other forum who a user is having trouble with his account. Be careful when using xapo "wallet", i personally dont use their service. I got a shit ton btc stuck in there , and they fuckin ask for ID for ''money laundry purposes'' Secure wallet my ass , new hashtag #ddosxapo EDIT: To anyone who is serious about helping me out , i will give you 0,1 btc straight up once is solved.
