$1000 is in the dream of everybody who uses bitcoin, but i don't see $18000 even  in my dreams.

honestly i think there is a lot of obstacles on the way to go that high, besides a large number of bitcoin holders would start selling if the price goes even to $1000 which will stop any pump.

Back when the BTC price was above 1000$, people were saying 10K$ next.  I have to admit though, this is the first prediction I've seen for 18K!

And if its successful for ubs using this as a settlement coin within their other partner banks. If its good for one bank, then its most likely to be used for others.

I just dont see how these stories about the blockchain tech itself being used will apply to btc price.

It's like saying the demand for flat screen tv's will lead to higher prices for tube tv's.  Tube tv's were a predecessor, and not used or produced now.  Seems like thats what may happen to btc.  It will be a predecessor to other cryptos, but may not be THE crypto

I can't see that happening in our lifetime & I'm very pro bitcoin. To be honest I'd be very happy if we even got to 10,000 USD at some point in the next 10-20 years.

No way a rise from 200-400 will go to 10k in 10 minutes... Look how the pump went last time, it was not one giant spike, it was 10 dollars every few minutes, nothing as dramatic as you are sketching. Also, bitcoin will never be 0 USD, it never was, even at start.

1. governments embrace bitcoin instead of making FED/ECBcoin-probability 20-50%.
2. governments prod banks to accumulate bitcoin-If #1 happens, then probability is close to 100%
3. monetary system switches to bitcoin on a large scale-probability is close to 100% if #1 happens
4. bitcoin remains at 21mil limit-probability unknown (1-100%, depending on whether #1 happens)

Indeed it would and that would not be possible.. There might be a large run up and FOMO, but that is not enough to make 50,000% gains in 10 minutes...

honestly i always consider saying an unrealistic number a trolling attempt. no matter if it is talking about the moon ($18K) or it is talking about the doom ($100).

both are just simply unrealistic. in this case this "too much demand" is not enough to bring it up to $500, let alone 18000. it is going up as time passes but not to those extreme numbers.

Yes, I think it is obvious. And later a dump to 5K it will go to 65000. There, we  will see a loooong downtrend of five years to reach a minimum of 10000$ and eeryone will say bicoin is dead. And then, like a miracle bitcoin will be shoot to 1000000$ and dollars will crash and euros too and this will bring bitcoin to 10 000 000 $ and dolllars will be dead and bitcoin will be the only global currency and all the fiat and all the shitcoins including ripple and ltc will be dead.
