Sorry there won't be 18000 anytime soon. Just ask people here what they would do if the price reached 1000 again. Most will tell you they'd cash out at least part of their stash. Any new pump will have a hard time breaking 300 again not to mention 1000.

18,000 implies that there would be a tidal wave of new buyers. That being the case people unloading at 1000 would make for a drop in the ocean of demand.

Whales want to buy coins cheap. So instead of buying in somewhere like $500 (for which they get only 2x return) they crash it as maximum as possible (if possible even to $1 which would give them a whopping 1000x return) before buying it all back and going to the moon.

I am just waiting for them to give up trying to push it down, and realize they shouldn't be so greedy with things.

Not in the short term, but long term it IS a necessity. By about 2027 we must be at that price and above for sure, it is mathematically the only way Bitcoin can function if the demand is relative to the disposable total supply over time. Bitcoin is only getting more scarce and demand is only getting bigger as technolgoy gets only better = BIG ass Bitcoin price, there isn't any other way.

We simply don't know if we'll ever see anything above $2000. For that you need people to really believe it is worth that much, plus the demand needs to explode.
