I recently purchased a virtual credit card from btclot.com.  It works, but the process is not speedy.

I signed up for btclot, logged in and got a deposit address.  I sent some bitcoins.  It showed up as unverified, then after an hour it showed as verified.  So then I clicked 'Send your Bitcoins to Bitstamp', and the money disappeared.  After another hour, it showed up in 'Bitstamp BTC balance'.  Then I clicked 'Instant Sell'.  Well, the sell is instant, but the money isn't.  I then had to wait for bitstamp to send the EUR to BTCLot, which took 2 days.  After that, I was able to get a mastercard number.

I used the mastercard to buy something online.  There were a few euros left over.  I don't know if I will eventually get that back, or if I just lose it.

Oh, it's worse than that...

These cards (and also the entropay cards that caradenada sells) often aren't accepted by USA-based merchants that try to verify the billing address.  For those sellers, I use the Vanilla Visa cards which allow registering a ZIP code.  However, the Vanilla Visa cards generally don't work outside the United States.

So basically, I need one kind of VCC for US-based merchants, and a different kind of VCC when buying from outside the US.

Hello,

We're reconstructing our deposit system. The issue is that bitcoin transactions aren't instant. It requires bitcoin confirmations in order to confirm the deposit.

The interest from the bitcoin community in our service has been amazing, I had to close the registrations due to the huge demand !

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Best regards,
coinbuck

EDIT:

I then had to wait for bitstamp to send the EUR to BTCLot, which took 2 days.

Please send me a PM with your card ID and username. That process is instant.

Bitcoin is the future !

The EUR balance showed up instantly, but when I tried to buy a card, it would tell me not enough EUR balance.  I retried several times over the next two days, and it eventually worked.
