Exactly this! Be careful mate!

I have never bought anything on the deep, dark, call it as you want web. I have never even accessed it. I guess that I just don't have a need for any of the stuff that is being sold over there.

I am very often using Bitcoin for buying stuff and paying people on the "light" web and I am proud of it! Smiley

Never accessed the deep web and don't feel the need to.

And I really don't believe these figures bandied around that it's ten times larger than the open web. What the fuck are they all doing on there?

I'd say they almost certainly do. It's too much of a coincidence that so many bitcointalk.org posters have been arrested & even imprisoned over the years. They must get their initial information somewhere & where better to start looking?

I agree with you though, I advise people involved in shady activity to be very careful & certainly don't publicise it here.

Where did you get that figure? It seems kinda impossible for it to be ten times larger than the open web Shocked Or they are just generating a shitload of non indexed pages with bots and stuff.

It's bandied about with great regularity when the media discusses it. It sounds like a totally ludicrous assertion to me.

Maybe that applies to all the crap that's not worth searching which is a rather different deal than the idea of fifty billion paedophiles and hit men.

Everyone who uses the deepweb uses bitcoins. That is the main advantage of bitcoins, its anonimity. I never made any transactions on the deepweb tho. I might try someday. Grin

Why would you be proud of that? The only people wanting to visit the Deep web, are the people who wants to do something illegal. <Drugs, guns, child porn, terrorism and the list goes on> Why would you want to browse around in the deep shadows of the underworld? In my opinion it's only a central depository for the secret agencies of the world.

How many of these exit nodes has been compromised? You will never know, until you get caught. Stay away from those sites, and leave Bitcoin out of it. ^hmf^

Lucky you. First of all because you are proud of this. But for what you are proud to use bitcoin in deep web this is not told. Poor Satoshi if see this things. This big invention and this big technology to be reduced in being proud to be used in deep web. And for more to be acclaimed that this is the reason of existence of bitcoin and its technology behind it.

Poor you my friend for your existence.

I am referring to illegal ones. And still proud. And still I feel safe because saying "i did something illegal" is not enough to put someone in jail, unless they have proves. And being anonimous, no proof. Even if they searched on me they would never know what i did.
ANd i use a second smartphone to go in tje deep web and i hide it outside my house, so no proof it is mine. So In few words i am cleaned as a pornstar anus after 3 enemas (since i feel a asshole i think it is the eight metaphor).
I like very much deep web, i wander in it more than in normal web.

Your imagination about the conspiracy can equal only yours. Only this complicated life only to be part of deep web. You really must be proud about your crapness. I'm curious only what kind of shit do you do there?

First: there is a difference between the "deep web" and the "dark web."

Second: when I see some thread with a title like this (or the "How many BTC do you have?" threads) it always makes me think that it's just so obviously government agents fishing for information. What is scary though is to think what are the not-so-obvious government agents posting? Maybe these unreasonable threads are to distract from those that seem reasonable.

In summary: Don't talk about what you do or don't do. Anywhere. With anything. Ever.

The dark web is commonly accessible through Tor. Its whole intention is not to be easily traceable. A lot of it can't be found unless you know where to look though there are a few open sites that offer listings.

Here the explanation: The Dark Web is classified as a small portion of the Deep Web that has been intentionally hidden and is inaccessible through standard web browsers.
