Bitcoin investment is at the lowest position since April 2014
Only $9 million have been invested in bitcoin companies during August 2015, compared with over $23 million in August 2014 and monthly $55-125 million during last spring. Does it reflect the disappointment of venture capitalists in bitcoin or just a seasonal factor?

It's not a bottomless pit. There's only so many companies and so much investment money. Figures will be massively warped by large one time investments too.

This seems to be a random effect of when and what is financed.
We've seen a few huge investments in spring which simply dwarf the "noise" of smaller seed rounds etc.
Also, we're comparing public investments here, a lot of investments simply go unnoticed or publication is delayed for whatever reason.
I doubt that there's a trend to be read into the numbers right now.
