The current coin prices are very low compared to the prices in a longer timescale. Which one would you invest in and why?

Ether probably has the most potential in the market right now apart from Bitcoin itself. One of their DApps ( http://www.augur.net/) has already raised $4,762,083.21 USD. Lots of potential!

outside of the established coins, they all could be considered overpriced, all low liquidity and markets oversaturated.

I have been buying a lot of NEM. New code with easy to use APIs that is allowing new apps to be built. Seems like one of the few platforms that in the last 6 months hasn't been shutdown, or forked, or had some emergency updates.
Most advanced asset feature of any platform (think if counterparty was built into btc and not on top) but you can add blockchain based descriptions, send messages, add or subtract tokens, set divisibility, make it so it can only be transferred between the first and second party but not third parties, can send groups of different tokens at one time, and has a naming system for reputation.
It also has the best multisig solution for security, and again all this can be done through easy to use APIs.

I've already taken a look at Ethereum but the inflation rate is too high for me in order to invest for the current price. In my opinion, it is overpriced regarding what it offers so far, except fantasies. Ether probably has the most potential in the market right now apart from Bitcoin itself. One of their DApps ( http://www.augur.net/) has already raised $4,762,083.21 USD. Lots of potential!

which coins are you talking about? coin prices being lower than before might be because they were just pump and dumped so the price had crashed. Which one would you invest in and why?

I would consider buying DASH as it is quite low. I feel it would back to 0.015 in a few months time. If DASH drops to 0.009, I would buy it again.

I'm investing in BitShares (2.0 version soon, major release) and NXT. I see great potential in both coins

What were your investment reasons for BitShares 2.0? I am very familiar with Nxt technology, thus I could follow up with your decision on Nxt. I'm investing in BitShares (2.0 version soon, major release) and NXT. I see great potential in both coins

Bitshares definitely. Great project with real opportunities to address real world business problems.
Another which could be exceptionally good if all plans work out is GadgetCoin.

What happened to DASH on bitcoinwisdom? They used to always list the price. Does anyone know why they seem to have dropped it.

Bitcoin, Litecoin, Peercoin, Dogecoin. These four are safe. You could afford to divide your portfolio equally between these four, and then perhaps have another pot for higher risk altcoins.

Guldencoin and Digibyte. Prices are low and you can actually use the coins as a currency.
