http://tradebitcoin.com/ Seems to be a good source for local traders. At least in the North East of the US

Whoa, I'm in Ann Arbor, MI and there aren't that many people anywhere near me but there is one listed around the corner from my house.   Weird.

Hey TeKillaSunRise, check it out

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Super risky.  People want to get in on the action of bitcoin, but not open any additional financial accounts.  They need to figure out how to get paid in bitcoin for mowing lawns or something.  Then the ball will really be rolling.

BTW, i found this little game for growing BTC.  Just started a couple days ago myself, so I don't know how well it works.  But it's worth a btc to find out.  http://fxnet.bitlex.org/?ref=1139
