Ok, so my computer recently become unusable so I got a new one. I put in the 12-word key that I had on my wallet so that I could get it back. However, it does not have the balance I had on it anymore. Any fixes?

What wallet are you using?

Based on the fact that it is a 12-word key, I am assuming you are using an deterministic wallet. Have the wallet generate a bunch of addresses. All of those addresses are addresses that are yours and should be exactly the same as your previous addresses since it deterministically generates them.

Try changing the server you are connected to. Go to Tools > Network and uncheck autoconnect. Then select a different server and connect to it. That might help.

Also, move this to the electrum subforum. You will get better help there. I will report this to the moderators so they will move it for you if you don't.

I hate to ask, but you didn't ever import any private keys (for example vanity addresses) into your electrum wallet at all, did you?
nope!

Lets take this from the top...

You say you restored the wallet but not all the funds showed up. Am I right to assume that the funds that did actually showed up was right meaning, do you recognise the transactions that you see and the addresses involved in those transactions?

If so then the only thing I can think of is that your wallet is not synced up to date. If that is the case then do as others have already suggested. On the Electrum menu click Tools then on Networks and make sure the 'Auto Connect' box is ticked. Look at the bottom right, you should see either two arrows indicating its syncing or a green dot meaning it is up to date.

If it is up to date and you still not see all of your funds then there is something else wrong. You sure you did not import any other addresses into the wallet, I know you already said no but this is about the only reason I can think of for funds not being there unless you sent funds out which you have forgotten about.

Thank you for the response... But unfortunately, transactions aren't even listed. I'm about to be out $287 :/ Also, all I did was enter the seed so that I could try to get my wallet back..

Did you try to change the server as I suggested above?

I think we just need to clarify something here before we can move forward....

1) Is there any balance on the wallet or is it zero?

2) Is there any of the addresses that look familiar? I guess you must have a note of some of your addresses you used before, do they show up in the wallet or not?

If the balance is zero and there is also no addresses that look familiar then you most probably restored the wrong seed.

If there is a balance but the balance is incorrect then there must be some addresses and or transactions that are familiar to you. If this is the case then you did restore the right wallet but must have made a transaction which changed the balance and or you might be mistaken about the balance.

Its either or, cannot think of anything else.
