My wife has been watching a law and order SVU marathon on netflix... I think season 16. Few episodes ago a guy was paying his hookers in BTC.. I laughed..

Then on this episode they are framing bitcoin as THE currency for child molesters.

Just writers who read the media that portrays Bitcoin as that "illegal magical internet money used for buying illegal stuff and doing illegal things".

How big was the framing of bitcoin as the "currency of child molesters"? Was it really direct or is it possible you're trying to associate the criminal topic with the fact that bitcoin was the currency? Did the script ever say something as bold as "bitcoin is the currency of child molesters"?

Writers are going to use whatever information they think is generally realistic and could resonate with the public (even if the public's perception or understanding is completely false).

Maybe you should write Law & Order and ask them to write an episode that puts bitcoin in a more favorable light...
