Why does it matter if he ordered from BFL or not? I have, and I hold nothing but regard Tom's efforts. This camp vs camp mentality is nutty.

That's not a lot of preorders. I wonder if they have enough funds to cover a single production run of chips.

They've sold about 750 units at last count. I'm not sure how many chips are on each bASIC, but I'd guess there's at least 8 or 6000 chips in total.

As of Oct 11th, they had ~600 54GH/s units, and ~50 27GH/s units preordered. I have no idea how many chips each unit will have, as that information has not been released. I do know Tom said the first batch could handle upwards of 1000 units.

My mistake, it's 700 according to cablepair on Oct 15.

I wonder how many he'll order for the first batch? I would assume at this point it would make sense to just get the 1000 on the way since he's claimed he has financial backing on this project. It would get the best price, and even at 10 units a day he'd sell out the remaining preorders by the time he's ready to ship.

From what I can tell, you should be able to preorder now, and still be in the first batch. And even after that, he said they will ship each subsequent batch in 2 weeks tops.

i ordered a bASIC01 on 10/16/12 order #14XX

...however, my 'transactions' show nothing, which doesn’t give me the warm fuzzy feeling i should have. That and Tom hasn’t replied to (2) any emails I’ve sent him (albeit he's been traveling).

anybody else not showing there order as 'confirmed' via the transactions?

My order history shows the order and status as complete. My transactions has nothing in there at all, "You do not have any transactions!".

Hmm I only did one order with payment in BTC and it only shows "Confirmed" as well in the order history page.

What form of payment did you use to get "Complete"?  I used BTC yesterday and it only says "Confirmed"
