my 5000bits not got back today.. i think the confirmation still 0. how much is a minimum fee of 5000bits from electrum....
You guys need to pay attention when we have these famous stress tests. If you send your transaction with the minimum fee during the stress test it won't get confirmed until there is a backlog of transactions. How long this is? Well it just depends how long the scammers are spamming the network. For example, Coinwallet announced that their latest stress test will take 30 days to clear out. Luckily this wasn't a case.
So before you send money and if it needs to get there and you depend on it a lot, check the main Bitcoin discussion thread. When there is one test like this everybody are talking about it so you cannot miss it. If you need to raise the tx fee but you don't know how much, you can even ask people in the thread and you will get your answer in a matter of minutes.
yea i read that news from fb group.... i think this the problem.... before i can send btc without fee or low fee.... now my all transaction from electrum with no minimum fee will be returt to me....
heres my transaction id... 93c2aec72d360d3a6583e3825d7b5b1a5f2d65aad9508ff7a2c176e75147c3d8
The behavior of the wallet affect when your coins are going to be sent back to you. Some wallets rebroadcast your transaction once it drops out and your transaction won't drop out of the mempool, hence unable to spend them again.
You have used 0.00001/kb transaction fee which should be enough given that the minimum relay fee is that. However, the current number of unconfirmed transactions are increasing steadily and the minimum recommended fee is actually 0.00005BTC/KB. You can try to backup the mnemoric or the private key first then remove it from electrum. DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU VERIFY THAT YOU CAN RESTORE YOUR PRIVATE KEY. I'm not entirely sure if it would work though.
Or, you can try CPFP. This would only work if you have the access to the address that is in the output. You can try to create another transaction with a higher fee. The higher fee would entice miners to confirm your transaction if they apply CPFP patch. The most known pool that uses this patch is Eligius but they don't have a particularly high hashrate.
