Guldencoin: http://timeline.guldencoin.com/
Digibyte: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzjMRP4DSBo

These are coins that can be used in stores.

I know that Guldencoin could be used in shops in the Netherlands. But where can Digibyte be used? Is there a list of shops available?

Just watch the youtube link I gave.
That guy is turning the whole shoppingstreet to a Digibyte-Guldencoin street.
There a multiple stores in Zoetermeer, Dorpsstraat that accept Digibyte (restaurant, barbershop, outdoor store etc etc.) but I don't know if there is a list.

Oh! That is good to know, because i live in the Netherlands.

The Dutch are going to bring crypto to another level.

Why hold a coin that is just a coin but no store accepts it?
You need a store that accepts the coin

Digibyte and Guldencoin you can use.

I try to cover my bases, on anything that might be valuable in the future, so I purchase alt-coins and hold them like I would bitcoin.  I usually just look at the total market cap of the coin and whether it offers something new, or has potential.

I have at least a millionth and sometimes much more of Ripple, Ethereum, Dash, Bitshares, Maidsafe, Next, Peercoin, Monero and Counterparty.

I also have some exposure to Litecoin, Dogecoin and Stellar, but don't see much point to them beyond network effect.

I made the same mistake, it is  Cool Gulden  Cool
Did you just see the price?
Someone bought Guldencoin directly with Euro's.
This scenario we are going to see more often.

Looks to me you rather gamble instead of doing research and going for a couple of really good coins.

ETH, Monero, Byte, Clam, and a few others.

Also participate in many ICOs.  That usually go no where.  More of a buy and sell while peaked or on the rise.

Currently I hold BitCoin and VeriCoin.
VeriCoin is great, they always have new technologies coming out, and they are accepted everywhere BitCoin is accepted using VeriBit.

I am just curious about which altcoins you are holding longterm and how many of them?

I will name a few but by no means is this all. Never tell all Wink

BTC, LTC, VRC, BLK, DASH and Bitshares oh and ETH are my main coin I hold longterm but I do hold others just not that many and to be honest cannot even remember lol I will take a look now though.

Almost forgot NXT as that was a recent buy cheap.

3

2 of which I should have sold long long ago.

1 of which is pretty much worthless and has always been.  I just have it because it was merge mined with bitcoin.

Buying a good share of all the most established coins isn't gambling, it's insurance.  I do research all the coins I purchase, and if you go into any of the forums for any of those coins I listed above, they all think they're the next big thing.

The cost to own a millionth of most of the alt-coin networks is insanely low.  If I want to cover my bases, why wouldn't I spend 20 dollars on a top 10 competitor that gives me the same share as owning 21 bitcoins on the bitcoin blockchain?

Can you list these "couple" good coins that are a sure fire success over the coins I purchased above?

It IS a gamble.  99% of the altcoins are pure junk.  They are scams, fraud, pump-dump.  Buying more than a few dollars worth of each will only make money for Crypsy.

I only have Clams and AMS or Amsterdam coins that I bought during an ICO in Yobit. Planning to dispose them (AMS) all and except for Clams that I continue to hold and collect through Clam faucets.
