Ive never done that but I did realize I was dreaming once. As in, while asleep dreaming I realized it was all a dream and for a few seconds I could control my dream, it was the greatest thing ever until I woke myself with excitement!
I have had times years ago where I couldnt tell the difference between dreams and reality. Drugs were involved, pretty scary stuff, I gave them up at that point. I dont even get real drunk often anymore.

Isn't it astral projection?
If you "woke up" in the same place you slept, then chances are it is. Next time if you realize that it is a dream try to look for details you could not see in the room to verify if it is a dream or an astral projection

Dreams aren't ment to be bad. I once had a weird experience where I go through my whole morning routine, sit down for cereal, then wake up at the table eating cereal. Not only was I sleeping and dreaming of my morning routine, but I was sleep walking my morning routine.
Anyway, if you're worried about your health, you have to work on your life habits. A cup of coffee before going to bed and only 4 hours of sleep are definitely not conducive of a good night's sleep.

i really dont know if its astral projection, as much i remember in my dream the details are all the same that im still on the same room with different people around me every time i woke up, its kind a wierd really and scary. if its astral projection its should be 4 times i remember im banging my own head just to wake my self up. i think i have to change my sleeping routine and life habits..

Usually I find if you sleep to much in one go or nap you can hit some good dream states. Its a trip when you think you are awake though and then something odd happens, responding to you in the off topic thread.

Do you also dream that you wake up late for work/school? This is a classic symptom of midbrain damage (most likely a tumor) affecting one's sense of time. Unfortunately, there is no treatment, so you will soon develop dementia and die. You've probably only got a year to live, maybe two if you're lucky. Just kidding.

I had a dream recently, where I would go to sleep and start to dream - but that dream would actually be real life through someone else's eyes in another dimension.
Then people starting killing everyone in their sleep, so they'd be stuck in this other body, and I started smuggling people who were awake to safety...shit was wack dude

I love it when it happens, and that happens to me very often. When I realize it's a dream, I can do whatever I want, and usually, I make people in it mad(since i'm a very gentle person irl, in my dream I wanna mess some up)

Are you talking about false awakening, or lucid dreaming? I've experienced both, though the latter very rarely and it was totally different to me.

Even this is kidding, I experienced this too. I came late for work and there is something important that day in our office that I need to wake early. But suddenly i will realized it's just a dream. OMG thanks God.

Some people dont beilve anything until they are the one on the situation specially when its your first time, it was scary and yet exciting. i think it was a lucid dream but i really dont know its lucid dream or just dream within the dream.
