Can Wardrick sign a message?

I don't believe that Wardrick ever completed my request of signing a bitcoin address. I asked him to do this after the question of his account being transferred ownership came to light; the thread about him being TF was not replied to but it is possible that he signed a message/proved his ownership later.

Wardrick isn't TF and I suspect the wardrick account has been hacked.

In light of this, Wardrick, please sign a message from this bitcoin address:

We have no idea who the new owner is/was so if it's proven that it isn't/wasn't the real Wardrick then all of the NT he left upon returning must be removed & he must be removed from DT.

Feedbecks since his return should be removed and account should be locked until the real wardrick comes back. No need to exclude him from default trust unless there is evidence that he has been hacked before may.

Now his account actually was compromised because he posted that link. I locked it for now.

For the question about defaultTrust, maybe he will be removed (for security reason) once the admin will verify the account.

theymos is investigating everything and I'm sure that they are discussing what to do with his feedbacks and if he should remain in DT

What happened with his account is quite confusing I think, it's possible it has been hacked multiple times along with the accounts email address (allegedly) so maybe the real Wardrick has no idea his account was compromised. Indeed, it seems to me that all of the recent Wardick activity was probably due to the account being compromised and/or sold and that the little scheme about the account being attacked was in order to throw-off the scent.  I'm glad that Theymos seems to have figured it out.

If the original Wardrick were at all around, wouldn't he log in with a newbie account and prove his identity with a signed message?

None that I've heard.  And I'm not really a big deal around here so I don't think it's anyone's priority---which is fine.  I think that once Theymos confirms that the recent Wardrick activity was done by an imposter then he and Badbear have to work out how to proceed.  For all I know, they're discussing this now.  Presumably, BB wants all of the old Wardrick's feedback intact and on default trust so simply removing him from his trust list only partially solves the problem.  Beyond negative on me (and maybe a few others?) I know that ndnhc had an old positive removed by the recent "Wardrick".  I think someone mentioned upthread that in some special cases, Theymos has deleted/edited feedback.  In my opinion, it would be nice to restore the state of the Wardrick account's feedback to what it was before the recent flurry of activity from the imposter.

I don't think his account was sold because I would never buy a DT account without the private keys and emails associated with the account, because there would be a chance that some people probably would find out that the account might have been sold, sooner or later

I think that hacked is the most likely option
