I don't think his account was sold because I would never buy a DT account without the private keys and emails associated with the account, because there would be a chance that some people probably would find out that the account might have been sold, sooner or later

I think that hacked is the most likely option

Looks like hacked since he isn't signing his message as requested

His account was inactive for quite a while, so I don't think that the real owner has even noticed yet. He may have left the forum.

but why the owner didn't buy his private keys too?

and why he is not using the account anymore?

DT accounts are pretty expensive to have one just without use in your inventory

If ages ago = before he becomes DT, then I don't thin it matters
