Two 1k shares accepted is not the same as finding a block, or two blocks.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.

There's no sharing, if you find a block, its your's minus the fee. You did not find a block. A share at 1k is quite far from the target difficulty; 56,957,648,455.

Basically a 1k share is 57 millions time too small.

the difficulty has nothing to do about the size of the transaction if the pool is for solo should not be sharing in first case, and the block size cannot have millions of size

A 1k share has nothing to do with transaction, block size or solo/pool mining. Finding a 1k share mean you found a valid share at the difficulty 1000. You need to find one over 57 billions.

Yes this is a solo pool.  But you submit shares similar to a standard pool.  This gives us miners feedback from the pool that we are indeed mining.  A 1k share means your share you submitted met or exceeded the 1k default difficulty set by the pool on startup of your mining.  As you submit more shares the pool will adjust this difficulty up or down according to your hash rate.  Then you can verify that hash rate with what the pool is reporting.

Block solution found for XYZ. Checking.
Block found!

On a Antminer you'll see block found: 1 up from 0 in the miner status or miner monitor software.

But with the hashrate you have, the chance you find a block in the next 100 years is very close to 0.

Your best share is 2.68k, you need 57 000 000k~ to solve a block.

CGMiner displays "Best Share:" When that number is equal to or larger than the current difficulty, 56,957,648,455, then you will have found a block.

At 30 GHs it will most likely be years if not century's.  But hey you may get lucky.  I'm currently running 18 Block Erupters for a grand total of 5.9 Ghs in the off chance I may find a block.  But I'm not holding my breath either.  Smiley

Good Luck and have fun.

lol.. im not worried to get a block this will come asap i invest in power, im worried to learn and make cgminer or bfgminer works perfectly using raspberry, right now its not working properly, when i use windows+bfgminer its makes 27-30ghs  when i use rasp it goes down to 4 maximum 6ghs using 6 avalons nano 3

You think if you invest in mining power, you will find a block soon? Because you'd need 5PH~ to get close to one per day, to give you an idea. Since you're running completely obsolete miners, i'm not under the impression you're trying to set up an industrial mine, here.

I used 455gh for the calculation, the result at current difficulty is 6222.81 Days. If in one year the difficulty is doubled from today at that point your odds to find a single block will be 12778.01 Days

Sorry, stupid question from a beginner.

How long does it take to resolve the 25btc with my antminer s3?
And how do i notice i found a block?

I used 455gh for the calculation, the result at current difficulty is 6222.81 Days. If in one year the difficulty is doubled from today at that point your odds to find a single block will be 12778.01 Days
[/quote]

I dont mean to find a block.
I can be lucky and find one in a few hrs, did i understand that right? But then i need to resolve the block. The 25btc. How long will that take?

Well do you mean to resolve a block or not? Finding a block, resolving a block, finding a solution for a block = Your odds of finding one is on average 6222.81 days at 455gh and current difficulty.

And if that happen you will know because you will have 25+BTC in your wallet. Finding one in a few hours is absolutely possible, its just much more likely for you to not find one in your lifetime.

Okay thanks, that was what i meant.
Can you explain or sent me a site, where i can read why there are lucky blocks? Why is it lucky that i find a block in a second or never one. How is it calculated?

No need for a link to explain this; Its purely random.

In a nutshell, your miner try random numbers to try to find a solution of a specific difficulty. The amount of number is the amount of Hash it tries per second.= Hash rate.
If your chance to win the lotto is one out of 100, there is no garantee you will win on the 100th, or 1000th or at any number in specific. This is why people pool their hashrate to average it faster

Extra info;

This way, finding a solution is purely random. You have one chance in current diff/total hash possible with 256bit hash = 56957648455/115792089237316195423570985008687907853269984665640564039457584007913129639935 for a single hash to solve the block.

So the only thing you can do is average how much time it would take, the same way on average, with a odd of 1/100 of winning the lottery you would win every 100 times, except here its a much bigger numbers.

Mine at Jonny's Pool

It's all about how the mining process works.  At the most basic level you're brute force attacking the problem, trying millions, billions, trillions of times a second to find a solution that works.  If you happen across one that does work, congratulations, you've solved the block.  The formulas for expected time are based on statistics and probabilities.  Given a hash rate and difficulty, you can calculate how long you would expect it to take for you to find a block.  Here's the formula:
Code:
(2^256 / (((2^224 - 2^208) / difficulty) * hashrate)) = time in seconds to solve a block

So, if we plug in the numbers for the upcoming S7 from Bitmain:
Code:
(2^256 / (((2^224 - 2^208) / 56957648455) * 4860000000000)) = 50336413.62236576130419
In other words, at the current network difficulty, you'd expect an S7 to take 1.6 years to find a block.
