Hello all!

I am new to the bitcoin scene and just wanted to introduce myself!

Edit: Sorry bout that! I have heard about bitcoin for the last few years and have known transactions to take place around me for awhile now...I wanted to get into bitcoin the moment I read that some years back, bitcoin went from less than 100 dollars to well over 1000 almost overnight . This has made me take a keen interest in the subject!

Cock,

Welcome to the Forum. Welcome to Bitcoin (if you're also new to BTC). I hope you find a lot of information and education here...there's a lot of information and education to be gained.

One important part of this forum is the expectations of participants and posting. Rule #1 make your posts constructive. (Full stop)

There's some guidance offered by the mods here regarding introduction posts (such as yours), specifically "If you feel the need to post an introduction thread please take the effort to write something substantial or don't bother at all. Threads and post that contain only one word/sentence such as "hello & welcome to the forum" will be removed without warning as it causes clutter."

SO don't take offense when this thread disappears. And we look forward to your future posts, which I'm sure will be filled with valuable contributions!

Cheers.

Yes hopefully it will stabilize to create a more appealing target for mass consumption and not just another fad as some say (which it is not).

First of all, welcome! If you have any questions or misunderstandings about Bitcoin, this is a right place to ask about. Everybody here will gladly help.

About the price, yes Bitcoin price is and was very volatile, even though in this year we have seen the least volatility until now. Price is generally whole year between $200-$300. I suppose this is because Bitcoin has finally found its real price, everything before was a bubble time.

As Bitcoin grows and user adoption with it, price will be more and more stable.

It's a phrase that people who are bullish on Bitcoin say to articulate how much growth potential they think bitcoin has. The price will go so high it'll reach the moon.

Another term is "hodl" or "hodling", which is the same as "hold" or "holding" or keeping your bitcoin for a long time (until it goes to the moon). Someone misspelled hold once on this forum and it stuck.

Have you picked up any bitcoin yet?

If not, check out my profile for a link to my favorite faucet.

Hey, Welcome to the forum... This can be a very hostile place, if you break the rules. In general people are helpfull and generous to people with constructive posts and questions. I would suggest you spend some

time reading most of the questions that was posted in this thread to answer your basic questions that was asked before by other members.  Wink

If you have other questions not asked here, please post it and you will get several responses. This is the one place where most of your questions will get answered. Also check out the other sub-forums, but try to

keep with the topic of the discussion. Any off topic discusions will be moved by the mods.

Hope you have a great experience with us.  Grin
