bitbay just opened their market similar to ebay..you should check it out.
You can send email to ebay sellers and ask them if they accept bitcoin or use overstock instead

Well bitcoin isn't officialy suppprted by ebay and i don't think it will be in a long time. If you really buy stuff from ebay then try to ask the seller if they accept btc or not. If he doesn't then try to open a topic and someone might want to buy it for you Good luck

The only way is to message them and ask. BTC is not an official payment method on eBay I'd be very surprised if many sellers will risk it to be honest.

Ebay sellers have had listings removed in the past if they mentioned BTC as a payment option. You could PM them but most won't have a clue and you lose your buyer protection.
If you're in the US you can buy Ebay gift cards from gyft.com with bitcoin. I dunno if they operate in other countries too.

Yes, PM the seller first to see if they accept, if they list the item and put BTC as alternative payment, ebay will remove the auction or banned the seller.

It is possible for the seller to work out an alternative form of payment but it is highly unlikely. Sellers probably won't do anything abnormal like that since they are very wary of scams and negative feedback.

Ebay sellers have had listings removed in the past if they mentioned BTC as a payment option. when, and what were the reason? All the time. And the reason is obvious, ebay can't protect the buyer in cases of fraud or other situations where refund is required. Also, offering payment option that isnt supported by the site you are using is a violation of tos. They could easily solve these issues by holding on to funds for 30 days, and then releasing it if no issues are found. Sort of like an escrow.

i still dont recommend to msg the seller and pay by btc. he would have say yes and give you the address and then when u sent. they can refused to send you the items. in this way, you cant even file a complain against them. ebay will just dismiss it.

I saw some ebay sellers have a note in their listing saying that bitcoin is accepted.
I do not know the actual process of paying with bitcoin. You have to contact the seller directly for the actual process.

You cannot "officially" accept btc on ebay. They search for listings containing words like "bitcoin" and "btc" and will remove them, they ONLY want you paying with paypal, becasue it guarantees they will get both the listing fee and the paypal fees. You can try putting in "accepting b1tc0in" or "blt co1n" to try to get around their searches.
