The best thing you can do while speaking about something is to stop generalize the topic. It is not that all americans are stupid.
Some of course are, maybe there are slightly more percent of idiots that in other nations but there are also some brilliant minds among US citizens.

tl;dr Stop making a sweeping statements all the time.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

When compared to other developed nations such as France, Australia, Japan, and Italy, the proportion of stupid people in the United States seems to be far greater than the average. IMO, the main reasons might be:

1. Brainwashing by Hollywood movies.
2. Exposure to lies from MSNBC and CNN.
3. High level of religiosity.
4. Low level of education.
5. Obesity.

What is the link between obesity and stupidity?  Huh

How did Americans get so damn stupid?

Here's some quick ideas.

Feminism leading to women leaving the homes to find jobs instead of being a housewife. Sexual revolution, people having sex with more than just one person. People deciding to not stay together with their husband or wife in the long run and actually having someone around the house to raise their children. People being greedy and always needing the next big electronic, and house, and car. Someone blamed Christians, and yet they may be more likely to have a stable household and less greed, but at this point it's doubtful. There's a big falling away as predicted in the bible.

The loss of thinking critically instead of just taking everyone's word for something... probably came about more when people started to make fun of conspiracy theorists. Whenever anyone questions what the government did, or what the true intentions of someone in power are, they're labeled a crazy conspiracy theorist. So now it's considered crazy to ask questions, and normal to accept everything you hear on tv (news in particular) and in the classroom.

Adding fluoride to the water and our vaccines in the US might be the major difference of one country versus another. Fluoride lowers IQs, the chemicals in vaccines are dangerous to the brain.

"The average loss in IQ was reported as a standardized weighted mean difference of 0.45, which would be approximately equivalent to seven IQ points for commonly used IQ scores with a standard deviation of 15.*  Some studies suggested that even slightly increased fluoride exposure could be toxic to the brain. Thus, children in high-fluoride areas had significantly lower IQ scores than those who lived in low-fluoride areas. The children studied were up to 14 years of age, but the investigators speculate that any toxic effect on brain development may have happened earlier, and that the brain may not be fully capable of compensating for the toxicity.

“Fluoride seems to fit in with lead, mercury, and other poisons that cause chemical brain drain,” Grandjean says. “The effect of each toxicant may seem small, but the combined damage on a population scale can be serious, especially because the brain power of the next generation is crucial to all of us.”"

The US also consumes more GMO foods than other nations, but I don't know that it has specifically to do with brain damage or not.

Of course to question if anything of these things makes the US citizens stupid would be considered crazy, so don't do it. Wink

Didn't know that about fluoride.  Why do doctors give this to all the kids while they are young.  Guessing they don't want a bunch of Einsteins around at an early age or ever.  Makes sense though.  I see people everyday and I have to agree we are getting dumber by the year.

Something else that I wondered about.  Was why so many allergies?  Things people weren't really allergic to before all of a sudden the nmbers sky rocketed and more then before cant have say peanuts.  Why what changed?

Look at the girls now a days.  I see 12 year olds running around with huge breasts.  Or developing before they did while I was in school.  Makes me wish i was a kid again.

Things have changed.  And I dont think for the good either.  To many chemicals and preservatives.  That we really have no idea what the long term effects maybe.

Dont like the way things are turning out.  All money.  no one cares.  Lets eat fruit that ripens overnight because of a fog they spray in a trailer during shipment.  interesting.

In the USA critical thinking, ingenuity, thinking for yourself, thinking "outside the box", and anything other than blind obedience, memory and regurgitation is punished in American schools. I have a degree and consider myself an intelligent person. I have always loved learning, and hated school until the very last moments of it as an adult. This personally tells me something about the "educational" environment in the USA.

Unfortunately I don't think this phenomenon is only limited to the USA and seems to be expanding globally. Maybe take a look around your own native countries before you cheer in condemnation at these broken systems in the USA. People here used to think "it couldn't happen to us" as well.

Yep, groupthink is in and they are absolutely using the schools as indoctrination centers.

I don't know if they don't know it or are just jumped on if they voice those opinions.

Child Welfare services etc end up being called in you are branded a nutter and don't kid yourself about the fact that these people use these sorts of tools to force the lockstep/groupthink they are selling.

all someone has to do is make a call and you are 'investigated'  Those can be intrusive, time consuming ordeals and can end up with temporary or permanent seizure of your children and/or thousands of dollars in legal fees to fight these assholes.

The process is the punishment, as anyone that's been embroiled with these types of agencies and/or legal entanglements will tell you.  They have limitless resources and will make your life a living hell for months if not years, so I think many people simply opt to keep their mouths shut.

Karl Lentz and others are showing us what to do. Karl helps people who have lost their kids to get them back, for free, mostly in less than a week. To see what Karl is all about can be done from many places. But here is an audio link that shows you in detail, if you take the time to listen.

http://recordings.talkshoe.com/TC-127469/TS-731739.mp3

The direct follow-up from that is here http://recordings.talkshoe.com/TC-127469/TS-732496.mp3.

These and many more can be found here http://recordings.talkshoe.com/rss127469.xml. The older ones are generally more towards the bottom.

Another great source if you are willing to take the time - http://www.myprivateaudio.com/Karl-Lentz.html.

There are many others. Google and Youtube search "Karl Lentz common law."

Wow, this thread started as a inflammatory statement posing as a question and then turned into some good information. Thanks for the info, TECSHARE and the rest of you with follow-up information. This is exactly the problem, and I see my kids suffer from it. I also think it is a source of depression for so many of the more intelligent Americans as well, young and old. It's depressing to be stifled by the acceptable culture, which in turn leads to apathy. As these people, myself included, stop trying to be what they can be: Fear homeschooling, for example, we just allow the culture of stupidity to thrive.

That is interesting. Considering America is made up of the genetics of people from everywhere around the world, I suppose that means you have a genetic problem as well.

If that was a goal of the powers that be, the arrays of cellular towers all over the globe are perfectly capable of operating at frequencies that can interfere with natural human brain waves with a simple change of software. Something to look forward to.

Could be why tinnitus has been increasing. Doesn't have to be "mind control", but the cellular wave towers are everywhere these days and the number of people with tinnitus has been increasing.
