I tend to agree. Look at any nation. 90% of the people can be brainwashed through media propaganda. Look at Germany. A majority of the people there think that importing 10 million Muslims to their country can be beneficial.

That's a pretty harsh and exclusive statement.
Americans are a people. I can't call an entire very eterogenous group of people "stupid". Among them really are some brilliant ones.
Then: it's about leadership. And by whom is it influenced. And what's the purpose behind not wanting people to think with their own minds.
Then: it's a matter of convenience. Everybody is inclined to use as little of their brains as possible. Most Americans simply don't need to think more, they are very well adapted to their own personal life.

I think you mean they are ignorant. American people are not stupid but they are only living their so- called american dream and they do not care about rest of the world. That does not make usa's citizens stupid. They must be taught about what it is going on earth.

When compared to other developed nations such as France, Australia, Japan, and Italy, the proportion of stupid people in the United States seems to be far greater than the average. IMO, the main reasons might be:

1. Brainwashing by Hollywood movies.
2. Exposure to lies from MSNBC and CNN.
3. High level of religiosity.
4. Low level of education.
5. Obesity.
