Hey guys,

Just put together a quick and dirty app that acts as a sort of URL shortener for your Bitcoin addresses. I know copy and paste is the normal method, but this is useful for sharing your Bitcoin address outside of cyberspace.

Check it out!

I wish I were that clever. This was a weekend Rails project, no malicious intent. I want to see Bitcoin grow, and I think not having to remember your addresses is a small step.

One thing I like about yours compared to the other one is that you can make it output plain text:

http://shortco.in/poo
vs
http://shortco.in/poo.html

Yup! I plan on adding tons of formats eventually too. XML, images, ASCII, anything imaginable.

It's funny your thread title though... I don't know anyone who is currently trying or has ever tried to remember a bitcoin address.
