Tell me this isn't as big a deal as I think it is...

Wouldn't you want to relieve yourself of the longer dated first if you were leaving altogether?

Maybe they just have something better to use the money on than getting virtually 0% interest?

It's ok.  The fed can just print money and buy some from the goldman sachs at an inflated price so their ceos can get bonuses.

I can't get the article to load, but that certainly makes sense to me, unless there is a different reason than what we think.
