I think its mainly men, but that's because its a heavily  technology focused website.  Just the same as stack overflow or codepen I feel like.  Maybe reddit or zapchain has a slightly larger mix of women on it then here, though don't discount the valuable cool women that ARE here.

That all depends on your goals and intentions here.  Were you planning on making her longterm material?  If so, was she uncomfortable or were there reasons for what happened?  If there were reasons and you still have strong feeling for this woman and you want it to be a long term thing then you would let it slide, it's just a dinner party, not your life at large - you really can't hold that sort of thing against people, time is fluid and we're living breathing creatures, that was one point in the past, if someone held the same feeling against you when you weren't at your best wouldn't you feel disadvantaged?

Also, imagine that same person eventually coming on here and reading what you have just said, would you feel comfortable or confident? If it's presents like flowers, sweets or jewelry for some special days it is fine, but if you talk about buying her clothes, paying her bills or something then it's too early. She is not your wife.
