Explain more what you are talking about.
From what I understand some people don't use faucets because it doesn't offer a good rewards comparing to trading, gambling, signature compaign (even with their higher risk).
I will give you an example:
A junior member can win per constructive post an average of 7000 satoshi which is the equivalent of 7 rewards in the highest paying faucets.
Now you can calculate how much a higher ranked user can obtain.

The only faucet I would want to use would have been Gavin Andressen's faucet, he used to give away 5btc each time I think.
Unfortunately it's not running anymore, guess he would be broke overnight if he did run it for a day.

Because they don't give anything useful? You have a lot of work to do to earn some pennies while you could do something more profitable.

Of course if you have a lot of free time it's a nice way to get some free satoshis while you hope that bitcoin in the next few months/years will reach astronomical value.

The problem is also that faucets can close at any time so also making a lot of referrals can be useless sometime.

My own experience  of using faucets never helped me to even avail a premium vpn subscription after doing a lot of work.

When making money thru faucets you are not totally making for yourself but you are helping its owner to make money for himself he will just share a bit of revenue to you.

When I launched my first faucet and began to check the statistics (I really like statistics), the first thing I noticed was the overwhelming number of entries from Asian countries.
At this point I was reminded of mentioned documentary movie.

What i want to say with this story is - that maybe for all of Bitcointalk users from countries where for Happy Meal you have to pay $50, faucet is nothing - but for some people it can be something.

And the most important thing is - faucets are not to get rich, FAUCETS ARE TO PROMOTE CRYPTOCURRENCY AND HELP PEOPLE LEARN HOW TO USE THEM.

in the last week i have stop a less to use faucet, because more new faucet have ridiculs rewards and add a funcaptcha, and is more time lose.

I continue used only a old faucet with minimum 800 satoshi for rewards and see a new with minimum 1000

How much do you think a regular user can make from faucets per month?
5$? 10$!! I doubt someone can get more unless he has too many referrals (then he can get this even in 1 day) but in the other side these people have to pay the electricity for the simple use of their pc which depends from a country to another.
Well, sure faucet that pay more than 1000 satoshi worth a try but don't count only on it, you need to diversify.

In some countries, people work a whole month for less than $ 50,for example, in Venezuela's monthly salary is about $ 20, there's topic in the forum about that.
Playing in one rotator for a month I earned $ 10, just for fun, without that I have been 24 hours in front of computer.
Faucet will not make anyone rich,but will be an additional source of income and introducing the world of cryptocurrency.

Amount of the prize depends on advertisers and from users. User clicks on the ad + pay-per-click = reward. For me 1000 satoshi is unreachable - advertisers payment would simply don't cover the costs.
