I am sure they can do something more professional that that? Some nice calm tropical background and a beautiful lady with a wide smile.  Wink

The message is cool, but the graphics is poor... give it a bit more color and it will work 100% ... A little moon above the arrow will also bring a little smile to our faces.

How much will this cost... certainly not $ 75 000 per month.  Huh

this one is/was real for example
That one is still a Bitcoin billboard, but it changed a few years ago to this:

Click here for Google Street View.

Lol, I don't like this design, too cult-ish, would scare people away. We need something more simple, with a sense of humor, or just serious at all, because people may not get the joke. We need to inform people. Some rich guy should pay for OP's billboard in a highway.

Biggest problem with billboards is that the marketing effect will probably be minimal. Just hanging one with bitcoin slapped to it will not do. A business behind it may actually pay for the costs of putting it up there.

Does anyone know how much those billboards costs approximatly ? (monthly , yearly or whatever)

Depends on the location.  I looked into it a while back and the ones you can see from the freeway near my house are around $75,000 per month.  There is a billboard off the beaten track out here a ways away from basically anyone that would see it, and it is only a few hundred per month...  Might be good to rent for the publicity of it, but not so much the advertising aspect.  Shit, might not even cost that much to BUY it and have it be a permanent Bitcoin advertisement if people were interested...

WOW OgNasty, where do u live!!??!!

Cost per month certainly depends on where you live and more importantly the location of the billboard.

My background is in Marketing so im pretty familiar with this topic....In Las Vegas you could rent a prime location billboard for a lot less than 75k a month.
Usually if you sign a long term deal, the rates will drop.

It certainly would be cool to have a vibrant, clear, positive, professional looking Bitcoin billboard on Las Vegas Blvd (one of the heaviest foot/car traffic streets in the world).

I agree with you here on this one.  If this is in the US then I don't think this would settle well, especially for people around where I live, because I live in the bible belt and people who have already heard of bitcoin down here think that it is a message of the incoming "rapture" that the bible foretold.  We have to ease people into this kind of thing and make them see the light of bitcoin in a sensible manner... not by having some cultish symbolism promoting bitcoin.

It's in the heart of Silicon Valley, on a busy 8-lane expressway, where it can be seen by a lot of techies on their morning commute.
About 100 feet away is a billboard for a strip club, which would distract the bible belt people. :-)

Haha that is not entirely true... while religious freaks down here love their bible, they also love boos, boobs, and college football.  I just think that we can give an overall better image of bitcoin rather than being "cultish" though, and that's exactly what I thought when I saw that billboard.
