I think he makes some very good points. There is a lot of time and money wasted because of a false sense of urgency, where instead improvements could have been made to bitcoins value.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.
