I've joined a few and they seem a little "moist"

I want somewhere that's got an online atmosphere and stuff are happening.

I'm sorry I did not understand what you said. What do you mean by "these suggested sites"?
The OP was asking for poker services, and he has comments on the most used poker rooms, at least as they were reported by the users that participated in the poll. And from expirience they are the biggest btc poker rooms, and offer a decent service, and I think that is what the OP is searching for.
