I just saw this in one of the non-Newbie threads: http://www.reddit.com/r/test/comments/11iby2/bitcointip_tip_redditors_with_bitcoin/

It would be amazing if someone would create plugins for Wordpress and Blogger and other popular blogging software so that readers could easily tip the authors of individual posts or individual comments. The system should allow tipping of small amounts of bitcoin and it should be anonymous or pseudonymous.

Does something like this already exist for tipping blog commentators?
"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

Thanks for the link to flattr.com. I didn't know about that site. It's interesting for micro-payment support of things online, but of course the sites doesn't use bitcoin.

It looks like http://propster.me is a site similar to flattr.com but that uses bitcoin.

But what I would like is a Wordpress plugin that automatically generates (or accepts as input) a bitcoin address for every blog entry or comment posted. Then bitcoin would be sent to the email address the commenter left.

For example, on many Wordpress sites, to leave a comment you type your username, your email address (not validated), and then the comment itself. It would be great if there were a button you could use (via coinapult.com?) to send some bitcoin to the email address of the commentor. (Of course, this could be a pseudonymous or anonymous email address.)

pa,

Sounds like a great idea and if it doesn't already exist maybe there are developers around here who might be interested in taking it on.  Someone one in this thread maybe:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=110638.msg1204311#msg1204311

The OP got what he requested but he did post a bounty.

Good luck and keep us posted.
