http://reddit.com
http://reddit.com/r/bitcoin

...we would make it to the top bar on the front of every page. We would first be seen by 1080p monitor users but gradually we could be seen by everybody. Now I am not suggesting that people should start shilling subscribers on /r/Bitcoin but if somehow that number were to get that high, the Bitcoin price might just be pushed higher due to publicity.

Inflating subscription numbers with bot accounts would invalidate the impressive number of unique accounts on /r/bitcoin, so why would you wanna do that?

I'm pretty sure  /r/Bitcoin on Reddit reached <80,000 subscribers a long time ago. The very instant it was created, in fact.

Yeah <80000 is totally easy.

I read it as "greater than 80,000" considering the open side faces the larger number... And with that sentence, I figured it out.

redditors aren't retarded... having it happen organically would be great and all, but using a bot would just kill any credibility.

In Germany, some people use a mnemonic trick to distinguish < and >.

< is like the |<, the K in "Kleiner als", "lesser than".

But I don't get it either that they need such a hint (they're mostly not even dyslexic).

I mean it's obvious as we read from left to right.

small <large

At least in Western culture that is.
