Bitcoin criminals DD4BC target financial markets as attacks rise

http://www.afr.com/technology/bitcoin-criminals-dd4bc-target-financial-markets-as-attacks-rise-20150924-gjucv8

Quote
While stockbrokers, investment bankers and traders were enjoying a well-earned break for the Queen's birthday on June 8 this year, a group of bitcoin cyber criminals known as "DD4BC" were busily plotting to launch cyber attacks against some of our biggest financial institutions, including Westpac and Macquarie Bank.

The government's newly formed Australian Cyber Security Centre said it was aware of "extortion campaigns occurring May through July" by the notorious cyber criminals who have ramped up their attacks over the past few months and turned their attention to the financial sector – banks, brokers and clearing houses in Australia.

It is nothing new, nothing unusual and pretty normal if you ask me. Cybercrime is with us since the dawn of internet.
As long you can steal something there will be thieves. And honestly it does not matter if cyberterrorists are associated with ISIS or are conspiracy theorist or just want to get rich. And now we have bitcoin hackers and they hate  banks... it is pretty normal if you ask me.

yep and they put all those news to try to "show" to people how bad is the bitcoin and try to relate it always, the funny part about it is that it, will never work Wink

is awesome how many news related to this can be read in the last months... maybe that's a good news for the bitcoin world at all Wink

IMHO #1.b of suspects, Hal Finney is/was S.N.
