LTCGearCoin roadmap:List of tasks to accomplish:1. Release wallet for windows + linux + github source (complete 9/28/15)
2. Contact pool owners and have pools opened ( 2 pools available as of 9/29/15)
3. Get listed on exchanges (Listed on yobit.net as of 9/29/15, other exchanges have been contacted and ones with voting systems will be approached: ETA 10/4/15)
4. Get Raspberry Pi + Mac OS wallets compiled. (Complete)
5. Open casino or gambling site and contact miscellaneous digital goods merchants regarding accepting LTCGearCoin (ETA 10/12/15)
6. Contact Shapeshift.io and get listed there.
7. Contact current legal counsel handling LTCGear clientele. See if they would be willing to accept any form of crypto as partial retainer for them to proceed.
8. Make arrangements to pay a portion of the LTCGear legal retainer during the initial stages of the process and proceed forward as events unfold.
9. When legal proceedings conclude, have a community vote to rename the coin.
As it has already been stated, this coin is legitimately about helping people who lost money via the ltcgear scandal. Concerns were raised by "some" people that my intention was solely to dump premine coins on the exchange. As a first step in a commitment to showing that I am sincere in my intentions, I have escrowed 34,000 coins (all premine coins except for 5000 which were paid for binpool + wallet compiling)
The terms of the escrow will be as follows: All XLTCG will be used to further the development of XLTCG and to aid in recovering of funds/ legal action for LTCGear victims. The current escrow is Ozmaster from Litecointalk / coinbar and having been a large shareholder in ltcgear, as well as trusted litecointalk escrow, I feel he is an ideal escrow candidate for this project. If I make a decision to use the funds for a purpose that he feels does not further this stated cause, we will bring the decision to the Bitcointalk and Litecointalk for a consensus which will be gathered by signed messages from LTCGearCoin holders.
How can LTCGearCoin help the victims of LTCGear?Very basic steps have been taken in procuring legal counsel for the victims of LTCGear. As it currently stands, names and basic contact information are being collected from all who are willing to come forward. From the information I have currently, there are 2 early steps in the process, each with separate retainer fees.
Stage 1) Until I have more information I will just request that LTCGearCoin holders or as many as are willing to, keep track of their staking coins and hold any percentage they wish to give as a donation to LTCGear legal actions in their own wallets.
Stage 2) Once the lawyers overseeing the case contact me with more information, escrows will be set up, trusted escrows on Litecointalk and Bitcointalk, to receive donations in both BTC and LTCGearCoin to put towards the legal retainers and other fees.
Stage 3) Once the retainer fee has been met, or a deadline for action is reached, the funds will be given the legal counsel and any remaining funds will be held by the escrows until it is determined that legal action can no longer continue, or the case concludes in a favorable outcome for the victims. Should there be remaining funds, they will be dispersed back proportionally to those that donated them.
A few notes: 100% of the stake payout of the escrowed coins will be given to the donation fund as well as 100% of any remaining funds once general coin development needs have been met. I personally pledge to donate 100% of the stake of coins I mine as well as 20% of the coins themselves.
If for any reason specific to the above stated purposes, coins will need to be converted to Bitcoin, it will be done in a controlled fashion as to minimally impact coin price.
