The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Probably by performing a service.

If you ALREADY have an AMD/ATI graphics card and power is cheap, I'd look into mining.

Or you can go to the Bitcoin faucets. Pretty small amounts, though.

You could look into selling stuff on https://bitmit.net/ for example.

Or you could complete tasks for small amounts of btc: http://coinworker.com/
Watch videos and get small amounts for that: http://www.cointube.tv/

IMO, there's no way to get bitcoins quickly without paying/mining for them. Especially with bitmit closing up shop. Here's some ideas though:

If you have a ton of free time, look into faucets and other options that give you very small amounts of btc for doing menial tasks.

If you have extra physical goods lying around that you don't need, look into selling them.

If you have some kind of skill (coding, writing, musicality, etc) try and think up ways you could profit off them.

However, after checking later posts in the thread, it appears they will remain open. My apologies for spreading outdated information.

https://coinad.com/

Someone just posted this site to make bitcoins every hour.  I believe that was how it worked.
