Hi,
Is there a way to stop receiving a notification about a topic that you have a post on it?
I tried ''watch'' button, ''notify'' without success, the topic continue to appear when I check ''show new replies to your posts''
Thx

N.B: Please serious answers only.
(answers like remove your post from the topic(s)  aren't a solution)

I don't think there is any solution for this. But what I normally do is that, if you like to see the replies, you just click watch or notify it. Not click on 'show new replies to your posts'', which always show old threads with new replies which I am not interested at.

Yea same its ridiculous. I posted once in that speculation mega-thread, and its stuck there forever in my new replies list, even though I unwatched it and turned off notifications and everything. Its getting kinda annoying now.

Check out http://trumpgeneral.com/ for great Trump information

Yes, probably the forum could add some  functions in the ''show new replies to your posts'' page, like choose the creation time of the thread, one weeek ago until now, or one month ago until now etc. So we will nevel see the old threads's new replies except we stick it and make it always show up the new replies in this page.

Well, since I figured that the watch button is exclusively for the watchlist (my mistake) i prefer keeping it for the most important topics.

The problem is an average active member here can easily post a 7-10 (signature boys maybe 30 or more  Tongue) posts per day in different topics and tomorrow i have to check the other users participation but unfortunately I find 20 mixed old+new topics ... after few weeks you no longer need to look to the half or more (for example speculation, games and rounds, micro-earning...). The problem with the wishlist is i have to add then remove them manually each day.
A simple button which i though it is ''notify'' can end this mess (unsuscribe from this topic) but apparently it isn't working (or i still didn't figure its function)

It seems you have figured out how watch button works! But for notify, once first new reply is made on the notified tread, you will receive a email notifications! Try it out you will know how it works.

Firstly the watchlist is theymos's solution for your problem. There is nothing else until there is a new forum. You can unwatch a single thread (top right) and make it no longer appear in your watch list if you no longer care. You can also bulk "mark as read" (top right in the watchlist) an entire page from your watchlist. That way you can pick those you care about, read them, pick those you no longer care about, unwatch them and bulk mark the rest as read without actually reading them.

You can also watch entire boards you mainly read if you dont want to miss out on new threads. As someone that from time to time has 30 unread pages in the watchlist I dont mind that much. Just read what you care about and skip the rest.

It might not be perfect for you, but thats the tools we currently have.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.
