What is better when advertising in bitcointalk?

What do you think is better while advertising?
1) Making a fixed campaign with 0.2 per month for 5 best quality posters, min requirement only 20 posts , so something like 0.01 per post.
2) Advertising in bitcointalk with banner ads, with only one slot for 1btc per month.
IMO signatures are better because you get better visibility.

I prefer to signature campaign, which 0.2 per month. 0.01 per post is highest pay per post.
with signature campaign people can make signature for every thread they posted.
AFAIK banner ads on this forum will appear when the thread have more 2 comment/post.

Nope I am not planning to open a signature campaign, it just seems foolish that other people choose Banner ads on bitcointalk while greater advantage is available from a signature campaign.

You are not getting a banner ad slot for 1 BTC a month. Try 10 BTC and you may have a chance.

So in a month it will cost you over 10 BTC and for that budget you will have a huge signature campaign. If you have only 1 BTC a month to spend then you dont have any choice other than a signature campaign.

It's not foolish for people to use the banner ads. Some people actually click those rather than those links on the signature campaigns but still, if you want fast advertising to be in every part of the forum then signature is always better. Also those signature campaigns that pays you in your account in their site gains more user.

Yeah this sounds right, if you have the budget OP then go for the banner ad as I think it is more visible as it hangs on top of every thread on the whole forum but if you don't have a budget then go for signature campaign but only 5 members is very less, atleast make it 20 members if you want your site to exposed to a wider audience.

If a business wants exposure for a long period of time, sig campaign is a cheaper and more effective method. A campaign also involves more work and could backfire if not run properly.

Well Ok maybe I'm wrong in taking in taking starting bids as my thread's "backbone" but it was meant only as something close to actual, how am I supposed to know how much was spent in banner ads, if theymos keeps deleting the posts.
At any rate that just shows how much signature ads may be effective than banner ads, so now the situation would be: You got 3 btc to spend on ad, you can either make a sig ad with 15 of the best posters on the forum and give them 0.2 each month at a fixed rate of 0.01 per post, max 20 posts.
Or you can buy banner ad slot at that amount and still have only 1/10 chances of being shown, not taking into consideration that most people use AdBlock extension nowadays

Signature campaign is a much better choice as it is more cost effective and can propagate to a larger audience. I do not agree with the idea of having 5 top quality posters at such a high pay rate. You can offer a smaller rate, example, 0.3 per month with 60 posts. It would reach a larger audience while being more cost effective. With this rate, you are almost guaranteed to get majority of the top posters. There is currently a filter which blocks the signature ad and people can also disable the option of seeing signature ads. However, those who are new/general public would not have ad filter and the signature can still be seen. Note that the signature would be changed in all the posts and thus your advertisement would reach people looking at old posts.

What the hell dude , 0.01 BTC is just too high , you can make it lower like 0.001 and you will get users however the number dosen't seem right , I mean 5 quality posters is just too low and you low chances of getting clicks.  you should take at least 50 member If you ask me .
For what comes to the ads on Bitcointalk , I'am not sure you are going to win the auction and beside it's not too visible like the signature compaign .
Just I'd say just go with signature compaigns and take Senior or Hero members only to make them so visible . Good luck !

Signature campaigns are good for exposure and promoting your website while Banner ads have their own advantage and hence people bid for a position. The price of 0.01 BTC per post is too high but you can make the rate 0.002 for good posters and employ 10 posters for a month with 50 posts as the max limit.

People who advertise their ad on the forum can give you a better analysis of the revenue they earn from both campaigns and advertising on forums.
